Reference Cross

A Reference Cross provides a convenient way to display the units of measurement associated with a specific connection model on the flowsheet. While individual result crosses drawn on connections show values, they may not explicitly indicate the measurement units.

A Reference Cross serves as a general reference guide, showing the units in a compact, four-field grid. It can be positioned anywhere on the flowsheet, similar to a Data Frame.

Creating a Reference Cross

To create a new Reference Cross:

  1. Open the Objects  Add Reference Cross.

  2. A dialog will appear, as shown in Figure 1, prompting you to select a connection model.

Once created, the Reference Cross automatically displays the current units of measurement used by result crosses on connections of the selected model. This ensures a clear and consistent reference for interpreting the values shown on the flowsheet.
