Macros
Instead of copying objects directly between projects, you can save selected objects as macros separately from your projects. The advantage of using macros is that you can permanently access them and only store the parts that you want to reuse.
Saving a Macro
When you save a part of a project in a macro, you will possibly not want to save all datasets of the project. IPSE GO allows you to select those datasets that you actually want to save.
- To save a macro:
-
-
Select those objects from the project which you want to save.
-
Choose
. IPSE GO asks you to select a file name for the macro file. -
Choose a macro name and its directory and click on Save. IPSE GO opens the window shown in Figure 1.
-
From the list of available datasets, select the ones that you want to store in your macro.
-
Click on Add to add the selected datasets to the list of datasets that you want to save in the macro.
-
Click on OK to save the macro.
-

Inserting Data from a Macro
To load a macro:
-
Select
. IIPSE GO asks you to select the macro file to be loaded. -
Click on Load to load the macro.
As with pasting data from clipboard, IPSE GO checks for conflicts between the dataset structure in the macro and in the project. If IIPSE GO detects a conflict that needs explicit resolution, it opens the dataset mapping dialog. See section Clipboard for more details.
