Activating Objects

To activate a unit or a connection in your project window:
  1. Click on the object.
    or
Select the respective object name in the object manager.

Since global objects do not have a graphical representation, it is only possible to select them in the object manager.

Selected units are marked with four small rectangles which are filled with gray color and are placed around the unit. Selected connections are marked with a bold gray line in the background of the connection line segments. The name and type of a single selected object is displayed in the object manager. You can move, change or delete selected objects in your project window.

Deleting Objects

To delete an object:
  1. Activate the object.

  2. Select Edit  Delete
    or
    Press Del
    or
Right-click the object or the object name in the object manager and select the Delete command from the menu.

Locking Units and Connections

This feature is currently experimental and may change significantly in the future. Feel free to explore it, but keep in mind that some concepts discussed here might not be ideal for long-term use.

Once you have set up a process model, it is sometimes convenient if you can lock the units and connections, so that you can not move them accidentally. IPSE allows you to lock individual objects or groups of objects. A locked object can not be moved, but it is possible to edit the object’s data. If a selected object is locked, the Lock command in the Objects menu is ticked.

To lock/unlock an object or a group of objects:
  1. Select the objects that you want to lock.

  2. Choose Objects  Lock.
