Formatting Connections

For each connection type a special standard connection style is defined. When you create a new connection, IPSE displays this connection using the predefined standard style.

You can also apply your own connection styles and improve the graphical appearance of your projects.

To select, create or edit a connection style:(connection style, select
  1. Select the connection for which you want to modify the style. Multiple selections are possible.

  2. Select Objects  Edit Connection Style. IPSE displays the window shown in Figure 1 for selecting, creating and modifying connection styles.

  3. Select one of the available user defined connection styles from the style list and click Edit if you want to modify an existing style.
    or
    Click New if you want to create a new connection style.

  4. IPSE displays the window shown in Figure 2. Edit the attributes of the connection style and click OK to finish.

  5. The preview window of the Connection Style dialog window displays an example of the selected style.

  6. Click on OK to finish. The connection style will be applied to the selected connections.

The standard connection style cannot be modified or deleted. This is only possible for user defined connection styles.

To delete a user defined connection style:
  1. Select the connection for which you want to delete the style.

  2. Select Objects  Edit Connection Style. IPSE displays the window shown in Figure 1.

  3. Select the connection style that you want to delete from the style list.

  4. Click on Delete.

  5. As the connection style will be permanently lost, you are prompted to confirm the deletion. Press OK.

  6. The connections that used the deleted connection style will now use the standard connection style again or, if available, another style that you can select.
